VISION
We train in godliness that we may know Christ, abide in Him, and reach others for His glory.
1 Timothy 4:7-8, John 15:5, Matthew 18:19-20
MISSION
We are intentional about training children to be disciples of Christ and empowering them to follow Him by learning to abide in Jesus, serve in the church and live on mission.
Do you know that more children today struggle with depression, anxiety, obesity, and even suicidal thoughts than ever before, and that most families prioritize education and sports over spiritual training?
Kids are missing out on the living hope that is found in Jesus Christ, and they are hurting!!
The command that Jesus Christ gave His followers was to "GO and make disciples”. Therefore, the task of the church is to make disciples who make disciples...of ΑLL ages. Children who have surrendered their lives to Christ ARE part of the church today. They do not have to wait to become adults to follow Him. They have the same Holy Spirit, the same spiritual gifts, and the same mandate on their lives as do adult followers of Christ.
The church is a bridge to families, offering them opportunities for growth and service that might otherwise be unavailable. Parents are the primary influencers in their children’s spiritual development, and we have designed the following ministries to support them in this process.

Cultivate: Sundays at 9:30AM
The disciple lives a life dedicated to Christ every single day. This is a challenging endeavor! Therefore, on
Sunday mornings, we do not GO to church; instead, we gather AS the church to be equipped, edified, and
refreshed by God’s Word, worship, and fellowship with our fellow believers. Our Children’s Ministry staff
strives to be your child’s “half-time coach,” positively influencing their daily journey with Christ.

Leaders in Training (LIT): Wednesdays 6 p.m. (Children’s discipleship)
Young disciples learn to love God and others. They follow Jesus Christ by reading God's Word and obeying
it, which leads to self-denial and transformation. At LIT, children meet in small groups that are intentionally
focused on this process. They receive training in various ministry skills, empowering them to recognize that
they are part of the church today and can contribute to God’s work. This program is open to 2nd to 6th
graders and requires registration. Youth and adults may participate as they learn to mentor others.

Children aged 9 and above may apply to serve as classroom helpers in our Sunday morning children’s classrooms once a month. We train these young ambassadors to serve and demonstrate faithfulness to the Lord.
Seats 2 Streets:
The disciple of Jesus is turned towards the Harvest. Jesus intended His people to live on mission constantly,
always loving others to Him. Training to share our faith and lead others to Christ teaches us to love people
well. Mission work, whether local or distant, provides this and much more. For more information, please visit
our Seats 2 Streets Ministry page.

The journey of training in godliness and walking the narrow path of a disciple of Christ is significant, but the
fruit it bears is truly beautiful. Witnessing Christ followers of all ages transform and positively impact those
around them is exhilarating! This is the essence of what the church is all about! We are filled with gratitude
for the foundation God is laying for children and the church at Horizon!
