What To Expect

All of the services at Horizon Christian Fellowship center on teaching the Bible, fellowship, worship, and prayer.

Because we study God's Word, you can expect to be spoken to by the Lord.
Because we fellowship, you can expect to be encouraged through God's people.
Because we worship, you can expect to sense the presence of the Lord.
Because we pray, you can expect God to be at work in your life.
In our church services, Pastor Lonnie Trujillo teaches from the New King James Version.

PARKING
Parking is available on the north and south side of the building
Overflow parking is available at Goddard Middle School parking on Berry just west of Lowell.

DRESS CODE
We don't have a 'dress code'. Some people wear suits, some people wear jeans. Come as you are!

SECURITY
Security is important to us. We have security staff at all services.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY (Infant - 5th Grade)
Our Children's Ministry staff provides a safe, caring, and nurturing environment where newborns through 5th graders can experience God's love and enjoy learning to play and make friends with others their age. We use age appropriate teaching of the Bible, worship and activities to get kids excited about Jesus and to get families talking about Jesus together throughout the week.

All children, infant through 5th grade, must be checked-in by entering your family PIN on the mobile device available in the classroom. When you pick up your child, you will enter the same PIN on the mobile device before we release them to you. After the service concludes in the sanctuary, we encourage parents to pick up their children in a timely manner.

First-time visitors may check their children in by completing a Visitor Registration Form that can be obtained from the "Overseer" who is available in the Children's Ministry hall during all services.

After your first visit, you may take your children directly to their classrooms to check in.

If you have any questions, any one of our servants will be happy to help you!

YOUTH MINISTRY (Junior High is 6th-8th Grade and Senior High is 9th-12th Grade)
The Youth meet for the 10am service on Sundays. The Senior High meet in the room directly across from the Information Booth to study God’s Word at their own age. The Junior High stay in the sanctuary for the Sunday message and then meet on Fridays at 6pm to study God’s Word at their own age.

CHURCH ORGANIZATION
"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction." Proverbs 1:7

Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church and the Chief Shepherd. "And God placed all things under His feet and appointed Him to be head over everything for the Church" - Eph. 4:15 (Eph. 5:23, Col. 1:18, Jn. 10:11, Ps. 23:1, Isa. 40:11, Heb. 13:20, I Pet. 2:25, 5:4)

The Pastor is the Under Shepherd of Christ and the Overseer of the Church, "The elder who directs the affairs of the church well is worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching" - 1 Tim. 5:17. (Jer. 13:15, Jn. 21:17, Acts 20:28, 1 Tim. 3:1-7)

The Elders assist the Pastor in Shepherding God's Flock. "Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, serving overseers - not because you must, but because you are willing as God wants you to be" - 1 Pet. 5:2 (Acts 20:17, Tilt. 1:6-9)

The Board of Directors administer the corporate and financial affairs of the church. (Romans 12:8, 1 Cor. 12:28)

Stewards are those Servants whose ministry involves responsibility and direct oversight over others who are serving in the body. (Matt. 25:14-20)
